Brian Greene, PT

Brian Greene

Brian graduated from East Tennessee State University, first with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science in 2008, then a degree in physical therapy in 2013. He enjoys working as an orthopaedic physical therapist, specializing in post-operative shoulder and knee rehabilitation.

Formerly an Eagle Scout, Brian enjoys the outdoors, including hunting, fishing, and hiking. He has lived in east Tennessee all his life and currently resides in Gray.

Randall S. Johnson, PT

Randall S. Johnson, PT

Randy graduated from the University of Iowa’s physical therapy program in 1982. He has practiced in the Tri-Cities region since 1989, with extensive experience in outpatient orthopedic clinics. He specializes in the treatment of post-operative shoulder, hip, and knee conditions. Randy and his wife, Teresa, reside in Kingsport and have three grown children.

Bob Algee, MS, PT, AT-ret

Bob Algee

Bob received a bachelors of science in Biological Science in 1985 from Arkansas Tech University, a bachelor of science in Physical Therapy (1988) from the University of Mississippi, and a Master of Science in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy from the University of Tennessee – Memphis in 1999. Bob was board-certified in Sports Physical Therapy from 1996 to 2016, and a certified athletic trainer until 2015, when he retired his athletic trainer certification. 

A Mississippi native, Bob moved to Jonesborough, TN in 1988. His primary focus has been S Physical Therapy and Orthopaedics. He, along with A.R. Rhea, started the AOA physical therapy practice in Johnson City in 2001. He is married to Becky and still resides in Jonesborough.

John W. Crowe, PT

John W. Crowe

A Johnson City native, John graduated from East Tennessee State University, first with a B.S. in Environmental Health (2000) and then a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (2003). He enjoys working with general orthopaedic conditions and has a special interest in rehabilitation of post-operative knees and shoulders. Other interests include church fellowship and coaching youth athletics.

John has been employed by AOA since 2003. He is also affiliated with the East Tennessee State University Physical Therapy program as adjunct faculty. He and his wife, Jennifer, reside in Johnson City with their daughter, Clara, and son, Davis.

Daniel Foster, PT

Daniel Foster

A Johnson City native, Daniel graduated from Milligan college with a B.S in Exercise Science (2012) and then received his Doctorate’s degree in Physical Therapy from East Tennessee State University (2015). He joined the staff at Appalachian Orthopaedics in June 2016. His special interests include playing golf and his two dogs. He enjoys working with young athletes and general orthopaedic conditions. He and his wife Natalia reside in Johnson City.

A.R. Rhea, PT

A.R. Rhea

A native of Johnson City, A.R. graduated from Milligan College in 1990 with a degree in biology and from the University of Tennessee – Memphis in 1994 with a degree in physical therapy. He has spent his entire career working with orthopaedic patients.

A.R. has been with Appalachian Orthopaedics since 2001. He also serves as adjunct faculty for the physical therapy program at East Tennessee State University. Special interests include working with throwing athletes and golfers. He and his wife, Kelly, reside in Johnson City with their children, Caroline and Jack.
