Financial Arrangements
Appalachian Orthopaedic offices offer a discount for immediate payment in full of balances not covered by an insurance company or third party. Our contracts with insurers do not allow us to discount co-pays. Co-pays are due at the time of service. If you are unable to immediately pay your portion of your bill, our staff will work with you to develop a payment schedule or identify other sources of assistance. We believe we have made every effort to maintain fair and competitively priced fees, but we want our patients to feel free to ask questions about them. We believe it is important for you and our physicians to have a definite understanding of financial matters.
Charges for office visits or surgery will vary because they are determined by the time a physician spends with a patient. This depends on the severity and complexity of the problem.
